RFIDFYI is a comprehensive RFID reference platform covering RFID tag ICs, readers, standards, frequency bands, and practical applications. It provides detailed tag specifications, side-by-side comparisons, technical guides, interactive tools, and a glossary of RFID terminology across 15 languages.
RFID stands for Radio-Frequency Identification. It uses electromagnetic fields to automatically identify and track tags attached to objects. A reader transmits radio waves that power passive RFID tags through backscatter coupling, allowing the tag to transmit its stored identifier without its own battery. Active RFID tags have their own power source for longer range.
RFIDFYI covers approximately 63 RFID tag IC models from major manufacturers including Impinj (Monza, M700), NXP (UCODE), Alien (Higgs), EM Microelectronic, and others. Each tag has a detailed specification page with memory maps, sensitivity data, protocol features, and pricing information.
